    Peggy Stanley, MSW

I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies/Social Services, and a Master of Social Work.  While completing my MSW, I interned at Pathways for Women-YWCA of Snohomish County working primarily with low-income women facing obstacles such as depression, homelessness, broken relationships, barriers to employment, and diminished self-esteem.  Although my internship experience came to an end, I found myself with a newfound dedication towards helping women face such difficulties, and I continue to volunteer my services as a counselor, providing both individual counseling and teaching self-esteem building, grief and loss, and life transition adaptation through the Pathways to Work program.

In providing counseling services I offer a safe and caring environment while giving hope and encouragement to every individual.  I work to introduce new tools that will help my clients cope, grow, and move forward in their lives.

Theoretically, I apply a generalist practice model which entails drawing from a variety of theories and techniques that will facilitate growth for each client within the context of their unique situation.
