Individual Counseling
It is important to enjoy life and be happy with who you are. Maybe this is not your current experience? Sometimes your current environment, past experiences, or the way you relate to yourself or others prevents you from enjoying life the way you want. We will help you understand why life is not running smoothly and help you change what is not working.
Our counselors work with everyday people who are experiencing anxiety and depression, who need help with processing trauma, childhood trauma, relationship issues, anger or other troubles that are keeping you from living life the way you want to. Together we can work through the turmoil and the feelings that you have and teach you how to feel better about yourself and take control of your life.
Marriage / Relationship Counseling
The honey-moon is over, life is happening. The relationship that once created a place of safety may have become a place of hostility, of resentment and of lost trust.
Meeting with both of you together, our therapists work with your real-world issues; the things happening in the here and now. We look at your communication style, work to resolve conflicts and move toward building trust again.
We understand that working on a marriage or partnership is difficult and we are dedicated to helping you work on your relationship. This is not a quick process. In most cases, it took a long time to get to this place and it will take patience and commitment to get back on track. Couples are expected to take an active role in their therapy. What we talk about in our session needs to be put into practice at home. The greatest predictor for success is the level of dedication that each couple brings to the therapy process.
